Take a look at LettUs Grow's crop brochure

We’ve published our first crop brochure, providing the grow times & projected yields for a variety of microgreens, shoots leafy greens & herbs.

LettUs Grow is first and foremost a technology provider, but many of us are growers and we always take a grower-centric approach to designing your indoor farm.

We continually run growing trials at our aeroponic research centre in Bristol, UK. Aeroponics is a method of growing plants by suspending roots in the air and irrigating them with a nutrient-dense mist. This means roots have greater access to oxygen, which results in healthier plant root stock, significantly faster crop growth rates and increased yields.

We use LettUs Grow’s aeroponic systems to expand the diversity of crops in this brochure and optimise our “crop recipes.” A crop recipe is a set of commands for your indoor farm, predefining the specific growing conditions and nutrient feed required per crop. By automating them via Ostara, our farm control software, we’ve been able to dramatically improve the yield per crop, whilst also reducing labour time.

Our team of expert growers have found that crops grown with our aeroponic systems can develop up to twice as fast than with hydroponics. This claim is based on comparing crop productivity in our own systems with yields made publicly available by directly comparable hydroponic systems.

In this brochure you’ll find the yields and growing times for crops currently outperforming competitor benchmark data at the date of issue. We’ll continue to update the document and reissue as we approve more crop recipes.

Lack of transparency and a clear comparison between different indoor farming tech providers can prove a big barrier to those joining the industry, so hopefully this document goes some way to addressing that!

You can also find a further list of all of the other crops we’ve grown in our systems - some of these are still undergoing trials. And if there’s something you’re keen to grow that isn’t listed, or you have any further questions, we’re always happy to have a chat - just get in touch on our website.
